Right, I’ve got a really difficult ebayer on my hands. They’re getting right on the end of my nerves as they’re be utterly unrealistic and unreasonable, but the thing is, they have over 1000(?) of positive feedback. So I started thinking, why me? I’m not unreasonable, I’ve been straight foward about the whole process, yet this woman (im guessing) still badgers on.
Let me set the scene;
It’s begining to get colder, and since I only have a Topshop, Warehouse and Miss Selfridge in my local highstreet, it’s hard for me to find a coat that fits since they don’t offer tall sections. So on a University open day to Southampton Solent and Portsmouth, I decided it’d make more sense to purchase a coat over in the UK, sicne there’s a wider variety of shops and styles.
Because I was on a slight budget (hadn’t been paid for a while, I think I was probably on about £60, and I only had a limit of say, £20-30 since I needed a few other things) I decided my best bet was Primark, as that was where I purchased my coat last year.
In Portsmouth, I came across a beautiful babydoll coat in stone and navy, and knew that I had to have it. Problem was, as any Primark, they had limited sizes. I’m usually a size 10 on top, however since my arms are quite long I go a few sizes up. However, promblems arised – the size 10 was absulutly tiny and they didn’t stock a size 12; yet they had a size 14. I tried it on, and although it was quite baggy I thought it would work. I think reminded myself I was hitting West Quay the next day and decided to leave it.
But oh no no. Southampton’s Primark had exactly the same problem! No 12’s! So I thought I might as well buy it, as it’s only £17.
I wore it a few times, and my friends and those around me seemed to like it, but at the back of my mind I felt like I was wearing a really unflattering piece of clothing and wanted to sell it, so I turned to my long-time friend Ebay.
I put the coat up, with a small picture which showed off the style and colour, and it sold for around £18 (including £6 postage, it’s a heavy bugger). Some girl bought it and I sent it over the next day, however she soon complained saying it was unwearable and out of shape. I was thinknig WHAATT!? So the conversations took place, me saying that even though i’d stated I wouldn’t give a refund on the item page I wanted my customers satisfied so I offered a refund. She then replied with ’shall I give it to a charity shop?’. I was then thiking sorry… What? You want me to give you a full refund and KEEP the coat? Don’t think so! She is now having real difficulty understanding that she won’t get a refund unless the item is back in my possession. That’s fair right? If you want to refund an item from say ASOS you have to pay for postage to retun the item back to the company, it’s just common sense. She is now saying that she will contact Ebay. I’d probably be soiling myself if I didn’t know for a pure fact she was being an unrealistic, terribly annoying turd.
Oh cricky.
